Decision Support Project Specialist provides technical guidance and solutions to user groups working with decision support software and data tools. Analyzes user requirements and evaluates functionality and configuration options available for existing and new software. Being a Decision Support Project Specialist delivers user training and coaching to facilitate problem solving and decision making using hardware, software, datamarts, and data warehouses. Plans, coordinates and monitors projects to prepare, test, and deploy decision support tools, reports, dashboards and models to users. Additionally, Decision Support Project Specialist troubleshoots and resolves problems. May have specialized knowledge of a particular software product tool or module that is utilized. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Decision Support Project Specialist is a specialist on complex technical and business matters.   • Summary:
    eDiscovery Project Specialist responsible for the management, and execution of day-to-day e-Discovery project tasks including managing multiple projects through the electronic discovery lifecycle. This individual will work closely with case teams on all aspects of the electronic discovery process including identification, preservation, collection, processing, analysis, review, and production of electronically stored information (ESI).

    Reports and is responsible to the Chief Information Officer.

    Responsibilities:

    • Act as an internal litigation support consultant and provide direct support to attorneys and legal support staff to develop, implement, and support efficient, cost-effective discovery processes, case automation systems, and practice support applications
    • Consult with practice teams to identify and implement best practices for the identification, preservation, collection, analysis, processing, review, and presentation of paper and electronic discovery materials
    • Advise, consult, and assist attorneys and paralegals on eDiscovery case management, as well as act as a liaison with eDiscovery vendors
    • Coordinate and monitor our use of litigation support vendors.
    • Identify case-specific litigation support application needs with attorneys, paralegals, and clients
    • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot case-specific databases, image bases, and image load files, to facilitate the retrieval of documents and testimony during discovery and trial preparation
    • Firm understanding of the EDRM and thorough knowledge of all phases of discovery
    • Proficient in using Notepad and Microsoft Excel to manage and manipulate data files.
    • Must have hands-on familiarity with Relativity.
    • Should be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products
    • Stay current on the rapidly changing technology developments relating to litigation support
    • Additional responsibilities as assigned

    Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

    • Preferred experience as a Litigation Paralegal or Legal Assistant.
    • Preferred experience with Relativity or another eDiscovery Platform, advanced Excel capabilities, Proficient in Notepad
    • Thorough knowledge of the e-discovery process, including evolving standards created through case law, rules, and industry trends, and of e-discovery/litigation support services and technologies
    • Proficiency in the entire litigation support process including the use of database management searching and reporting, coding procedures, document production, and trial support.
    • Project leadership experience with the skill to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with a high degree of professionalism on tight deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required to resolve complex issues using technology.
    • Superior communication skills.
    • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Must be able to exercise sound independent judgment.
    • Available off-hours when necessary.
    • Required to monitor and respond to email and phone calls after hours and on weekends.
    • Excellent verbal and presentation skills required.
    • Ability to translate technical information into instructional sessions, documentation, user guides and other materials required.
    • Must be able to communicate technical concepts to individuals with varying IT skills.
    • Ability to quickly learn and support new software.
    • Knowledge of iManage preferred but not required.
    • Ability to think creatively a plus.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Sits frequently, 6 out of 7.5 hours per day. Sitting position static for up to one-half hour at a time.
    • Lifts and carries up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to one hour per day.
    • Bends and stoops occasionally, up to one-half hour per day.
    • When visiting the offices, standing or walking frequently, up to two hours per day.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
