My client is a commercial General Contractor based out of Fort Myers, FL with offices in Naples, FL. Their work is within the Southwest of Florida and is generally between $3-12 million. They are involved in ground-up Schools, warehouses, restaurants, and medical/dentistry facilities. They are a well-established privately owned business. They are looking to bring in a commercial Superintendent with extensive experience in managing ground-up projects over $3 million.
The roles and responsibilities of the Superintendent;
Managing the construction of commercial ground ups between $3 million - $12 million.
Ensure the programme come in on time and within budget
Ensuring Subs are working on scheduling and with health and safety guidelines.
Liaising with local authorities.
Liaising with the client and ensuring and excellent customer experience is given.
Managing all on-site staff.
Working on Projects within the South West of Florida with occasional projects away from this area.
Responsible for general contracts, subcontract documents, drawings, and specifications.
Check and verify subcontractor layout to ensure compliance with established control, line, and grade.
Monitor production and record rates in logbook to be used for future scheduling.
Maintain a set of production documents and update daily so an accurate picture of work in place is consistently maintained.
Monitor job progress on-site, checking all work to ensure compliance with contract documents and the Quality Control Program.
Plan and prepare documentation to facilitate the close-out process.
Maintain and review the safety requirements for the Project and resolve or report deficiencies.
Reporting to a Project Manager.
Ensuring all work is completed on time and within budget.
Ensuring all health and safety is adhered to and implemented.
Liaising with the client and other management teams.
Liaising with preconstruction.
The Ideal Site Superintendent will have:
Extensive experience in ground-up Commercial Construction over $3 million
Commutable to Fort Myers, FL or Naples, Fl or willing to relocate.
Strong organizational skills.
Possess a strong sense of urgency.
Strong communication skills.
The ability to become part of a team.
Strong time management and ability to multi-task.
