    M1 Support Services’ Lead Accounts Payable/General Ledger Specialist compiles and maintains accounts
    payable records and assists with General Ledger actions.

    Primary responsibilities:
    • Reviews all accounts payable invoices for accuracy in coding.
    • Checks and approves all vouchers for payment.
    • Answers all vendor inquiries.
    • Validates vendor change requests.
    • Prepares accounts payable checks and/or creates ACH direct deposit files.
    • Prints all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.
    • Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
    • Assist with month-end close process.
    • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts.
    • Prepare monthly recurring journal entries.
    • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Prepare accurate and timely financial information.
    • Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as required.
    • Other duties as directed.
    Qualifications and Experience:
    • Eight or more years of accounting experience is desired.
    • Familiarity with US GAAP and internal controls preferred.
    • Working knowledge and experience with automated accounting systems preferred.
    • Working knowledge and experience with government contracts is an added benefit.
    • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a
    professional and non-confrontational attitude.
    • Must be able to work extended hours in order to meet deadlines.
    • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Products to include Excel and Word.
    • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
    Working Conditions:
    • Have the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
    • Have the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
    • Have the ability to perform repetitive finger, hand, and arm movement.
    • Have ability to use electronic office equipment such as, computer keyboard and mouse, ten key,
    telephone, etc.
    • Occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
    • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
    • Have the ability to view and read computer screen for extended periods of time.
