Duties and Key Responsibilities

• Works under the supervision of the Director of Financial Services/Controller using financial, statistical, and clinical data to provide leadership with analysis and tools needed to support Grand Lake Health System’s decision-making and financial planning needs.

• The Business Analyst can make sense of the ever-increasing amount of data collected in the healthcare industry.

• The Business Analyst assists in maintaining and managing productivity, decision support, cost accounting, and software solutions.

• Performs complex data analysis to identify trends, risks, issues, and opportunities.

• Timely productivity reporting.

• Responsible for Physician and Revenue analysis.

• Uses industry and financial knowledge to assist department managers and directors in the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets and analysis of current and future operations.

Requirements

• Understanding of advanced accounting topics and methodologies including cost accounting, benchmarking, productivity, and modeling.

• Expert in Microsoft Excel.

• Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office and multi-dimensional databases.

Education/Certifications

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.

• CPA Preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years in advanced accounting, auditing or financial analyst roles.

• Experience with data analytics and database management software.
