The Dallastown Area School District has an anticipated vacancy for a Full-Time Technology Support Specialist who will emulate our dedication to inspiring and creating pathways for student success.
JOB SUMMARY
Provide support to end users within the district and perform general maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and repairs to computer systems, peripherals, software, online access, phones and printers. Through experience and formal training, you'll be knowledgeable about computer operating systems; hardware and peripherals; word processing, spreadsheet, database and graphics software; Office 365 and/or Google Gsuite Administration; and, the operation of standard office equipment.

RESPONSIBILIITIES

Install/configure/upgrade/troubleshoot/repair computer hardware, operating systems, software, and related peripheral equipment within the established guidelines for timeliness and quality
- Keep the ticket system updated with appropriate status and resolutions
- Provide classroom support to help ensure technology is set-up and working properly for classroom activities.
- Be flexible with work hours to support district operations and maintenance needs and to complete AV set-ups and attend events that may need coverage outside the typical workday.
- Assist in developing and maintaining user guides and program documentation.
- Maintain district inventory of hardware and software.
- Keep informed of developments in computer systems technology
- Perform such other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Director of Technology Services and/or Systems & Support Services Administrator
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree from college or technical school
- Comptia A , Network , MCP or equivalent certifications preferred.
- Working knowledge of Windows client and server operating systems, MS Office Suite, Intel-based desktops and laptops, Chromebooks, printers, TCP\IP networking, DHCP, DNS, active directory, Office 365, Gsuite, and experience with VoIP is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others
- Self motivated and organized to work independently to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Acceptable record of attendance
