Deli Clerk Job Opportunity

Duties

A Deli Clerk's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Providing excellent customer service
• Maintain a high standard for product freshness and sanitation
• Cleaning and restocking of shelves
• Checking cooler temperatures on a regular basis
• Filling, maintaining and rotating products and displays
• Keep work area’s clean, sanitized and organized according to the California Retail Food Code (CalCode)
• Preparing special orders and party trays
• Operating cash register, meat and cheese slicers,, cutting tools, scale and other Deli equipment
• Assisting in other duties, as assigned

Cashier Opportunity

Duties

A cashier's responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Quick, accurate, and follows all cash handling and credit card processing procedures.

Qualifications

The required qualifications are as follows :

*18 years of age or older *Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service *Able and willing to work well with others as a team member *Able and willing to read, write and perform simple math problems *Able and willing to interpret, understand and follow instructions *Successful applicants for the Deli Clerk position will be required to complete the online “Riverside County Food Handler Training” course at your expense.

Preferred

We prefer to hire individuals who have a passion for people, in other words those who greatly enjoy serving others. Previous retail and/or restaurant experience is a plus.

Work Conditions

Work includes walking, standing for prolonged periods, and lifting deli products weighing up to 50 pounds. Duties also include frequent interaction with customers and other team members.

Hourly rate will depend on the level of experience.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $16.75 - $17.50/hour.
