Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to provide exceptional patient care and support. This is a vital role in our dental practice, and we are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and has excellent communication skills.

Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring the patient's comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Take dental X-rays
- Perform dental charting and documentation using electronic medical record system Open Dental
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar

Experience:
- Expanded Duty Dental Assistant or relevant dental experience preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions is a plus

Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
- Excellent organizational skills to manage patient schedules and maintain an efficient workflow
- Ability to perform basic patient assessments including taking vital signs
- Proficiency in taking dental X-rays and maintaining radiation safety protocols
