Dentist jobs in Clarksville, TN

Dentist examines and treats diseases and injuries of teeth and gums. Performs preventative and maintenance dentistry and educates the patient in proper tooth and gum care. Being a Dentist recommends braces or surgery to correct any malformations. Requires a doctorate degree in dentistry, either a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited school. Additionally, Dentist requires a state licensed to practice. Typically reports to a top management. Dentist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     • Assess patient's dental status and arrange for appropriate consultations to determine treatment needed.
    • Provide comprehensive professional dental treatment to address the oral health needs of patients.
    • Provide routine recall exams, simple extractions, restorations, prosthetic services, prophylaxis and fluoride treatments.
    • Refer to dental specialists when appropriate.
    • Manage administrative functions of the Dental Office.
    • Supervise the work of dental hygienists and dental assistants.


    Requirements of the Dentist:
    • DMD or DDS from accredited dental school
    • Must have TN license and DEA
    • Must be willing to live and be part of the community of Waverly, TN
    • Competence in all facets of general dentistry
    • Strong focus on clinical excellence
