  • Our family practice is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant for our busy well established dental clinic located in Molalla. The position is currently full-time.

    As a Dental Assistant, you will be providing our clients with the highest quality of care by performing a variety of office, laboratory, and patient care duties. From front to back, we function as a cohesive team so you will be helping the Hygienist and Dentist handle patients, instruments, and supplies during the treatment of the teeth, mouth, and gums. You will also be responsible for documenting patient care and taking x-rays while assuring a warm experience for them throughout their time with The Dentist Off Main. We’re looking for a kind and friendly individual who is passionate about the patient experience.

    Summary of Job Responsibilities:

    • Take and document patient dental history and updates, as well as overall health and medication history
    • Assist dentist by handling supplies and instruments as requested
    • Prepare dental set ups and trays for dentist with necessary instruments and supplies
    • Clean and sterilize instruments, and prepare treatment rooms as needed
    • Take and expose high quality dental radiographs, send out to radiologist as needed
    • Ensure appropriate supply of equipment and materials
    • Perform patient charting as instructed by the dentist
    • Must know how to perform digital intra-oral scanning
    • Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities
    • Experience with Invisalign preferred but not required

    Essential Skills & Abilities:

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Technologically savvy and familiar with iTero and/or Cerec scanner and Apple products.
    • Experience with the software systems Oryx is an asset but not required.
    • Ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team member.
    • Exceptionally well-organized and detail oriented.
    • Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate Doctor’s and Hygienist’s next steps to the best of their ability.
    • Problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Exceptional customer service skills with positive friendly demeanor.
    • Commitment to patient confidentiality and non-judgment.
    • Possess a strong work ethic, dependability and flexibility of tasks.

    Education and Experience:

    • Previous Dental Assistance (required)
    • EFDA & EFODA (preferred)
    • Ortho experience (preferred)

    Work Hours:

    General Hours: 40 hour week Monday - Thursday ranging between 6:30am-6pm depending on practice needs. Potential for Friday openings in the future.

    Monday: 7:30-5:30

    Tuesday: 6:30-5:30

    Wednesday: 7:30-5:30

    Thursday: 7:30-5:30
