Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and creative Architectural Designer/Drafting Tech to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with clients, engineers, and other team members, and be responsible for creating technical construction drawings and plans using various design software (CAD, Chief Architect, Sketchup, Revit, etc). Your attention to detail and ability to interpret specifications will be crucial in ensuring accurate and precise drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Create detailed technical drawings and plans based on specifications provided by the sales team.
- Utilize design software such as CAD, Chief Architect, Sketchup, and Revit to develop drawings, elevations, and renderings.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
- Incorporate changes and modifications into existing drawings as required.
- Review and analyze blueprints, sketches, and other design data to determine the best approach for creating drawings, and incorporate sustainable design principles into projects.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation.
- Participate with the sales team and field crew to promote an efficient workflow and project accuracy.
Experience:
- Proven experience as an architectural designer/drafting tech or similar role.
- Proficiency in design software such as CAD, Chief Architect, Sketchup, and/orRevit.
- Strong understanding of framing design principles.
- Familiarity with interior design concepts is a plus.
- Familiarity with project phases and turn-key project progression.
- Knowledge of system design and Grasshopper is an advantage.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or certification in architecture, drafting, or a related field (preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
