Design Director jobs in Toledo, OH

Core Responsibilities:

• Program and machine parts according to blueprints, drawings, and or layouts.
• Set up, operate, and disassemble lathes, mills, and grind machines.
• Verify dimensions, size, shapes, and tolerances of workpieces.
• Align, secure, and adjust cutting tools and workpieces.
• Turn, mill, drill, shape, and grind parts to specifications.
• Complete required inspection sheets and production sheets.
• Clean and deburr parts, work area and machine tools.
• Identify questions or concerns for customers.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on machine tools and diagnose machine tool issues as needed.

Complete high-quality work, on time, and with minimal scrap and rework

Qualifications:

• Minimum two years of machining experience, journeyman certification preferred.
• Experienced with Mastercam user.
• Experience running CNC Mills and/or Lathes.
• Experience with Mazak, Integrex, Milltronics, Haas, CNC Horizontal, and Manual Lathes /Mills.
• Experience with set up and programming.
• Ability to read a basic blueprint.
• Strong math abilities (decimals, fractions etc.)
• Able to perform quality checks.
• Must be able to read, write, and edit G-Code.
• GD&T understanding and experience. Must have knowledge and use of specialty tooling.
