Design Director directs and oversees CAE technical and team capability to support product, component, or structure design. Provides expertise and technical leadershipfor benchmarking, concept design, prototype development, simulation, testing protocols, and optimization utilizing CAE design and analysis techniques and tools. Being a Design Director develops and optimizes CAE methodology, including guidelines and standards, to increase design process efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Additionally, Design Director typically reports to senior management. The Design Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Design Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     DESIGN DIRECTOR – OVERVIEW: 
    As the Design Director at Elevate Sports Ventures, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and design strategies for our organization. You will lead a team of skilled designers and collaborate with various stakeholders to create compelling and effective designs that align with our brand, marketing objectives, and business goals. This role requires a blend of creative vision, leadership, project management, and strategic thinking. 
     
    RESPONSIBILITIES: 
    Design Leadership:  
    • Set the creative direction and vision for the design team, ensuring that it aligns with the company's goals and values. 
    • Inspire and mentor designers, fostering their growth and creativity. 
    • Oversee the execution of design projects from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality work. 
    • Establish and maintain design guidelines and standards. 
    Team Management: 
    • Recruit, train and manage a team of designers, including graphic designers, UX/UI designers, and other design professionals. 
    • Delegate tasks, assign projects, and manage workloads to optimize team performance. 
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members 
    Project Collaboration: 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and senior leadership, to understand project requirements and objectives. 
    • Ensure that design projects are aligned with marketing strategies and product development timelines. 
    • Present design concepts and ideas to clients, articulating the rationale behind design decisions. 
    Design Strategy: 
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive design strategy that reflects the company's brand identity and long-term goals. 
    • Stay updated on design trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge. 
    Quality Control: 
    • Review and approve design deliverables to ensure they meet quality and brand standards. 
    • Conduct design critiques and provide constructive feedback to improve design work. 
     
    QUALIFICATIONS:

    A.  Education and/or Experience 
    • Bachelor's or Master's in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field. 
    • Proven experience in design leadership roles with a portfolio demonstrating a range of design projects. 

    B. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities  
    • Proficiency in design software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, etc. 
    • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and user experience design. 
    • Exceptional project management and communication skills. 
    • Must be able to travel on a need basis 
    • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a strong aesthetic sense. 
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. 
     
    POSITION AND BENEFITS DETAILS: 
    • Full Time, Exempt 
    • $75,000 -$125,000
