Design Engineer designs, develops, and enhances new and existing products/product lines. Evaluates and recommends specifications and ensures products meet the technical and functional requirements. Being a Design Engineer recommends and follows reliable, efficient, and cost-effective procedures. Performs feasibility, functional, and quality testing of designs. Additionally, Design Engineer works with other members of the engineering staff to ensure project milestones are met and that projects are completed according to established timelines. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Design Engineer work is closely managed. Job Requirements:
Proficiency in Creo; familiarity with Powermill, Powershape, Solidworks, or Catia is advantageous
Strong background in designing lift devices including understanding of constraints and safety factors
Experience with fixtures, tooling, weldments, or similar engineering projects
Preferred Skills:
Ability to work on multiple software platforms
Versatility in working with early career to senior level projects
Adaptability to a fast-paced work environment involving clients such as John Deere and Caterpillar
Job Responsibilities:
Engage in design engineering tasks using Creo and other relevant CAD software
Develop detailed designs for lift devices considering all necessary constraints and safety requirements
Create engineering solutions for fixtures, tooling, and weldments according to project needs
Collaborate closely with sister companies for potential dual-company employment opportunities
Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
