Being a Design Engineer recommends and follows reliable, efficient, and cost-effective procedures. Performs feasibility, functional, and quality testing of designs. Additionally, Design Engineer works with other members of the engineering staff to ensure project milestones are met and that projects are completed according to established timelines. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Design Engineer work is closely managed. This team will be spearheading a new multi-year project – It is a Common Rail fuel system component development NPI project. They have a targeted launch date in April but want this person to start early January. This will be a component-level design role working on the fuel system. The members of this project will collaborate w/ CAT-E, FS mechatronics, analysis, & purchasing. This team is unique in that it will oversee the project from cradle-to-grave (hence the heavy collaboration with other teams).
