HILGARTWILSON, a subsidiary of Colliers Engineering & Design, is seeking a Project Engineer-Site Development to become a part of our growing company. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, be highly organized, be a good problem solver, be efficient, pay good attention to detail, and be a team player. Ideal candidates will have a BSCE degree and preferably be licensed in the State of Arizona as a Professional Engineer. A strong background in one of more of the following is preferred: land development & infrastructure (residential communities) or site development. Responsibilities
- Prepares reports, final design plans, technical specifications, and other technical documents with limited assistance.
- Responsible for quality control, schedules and plan production.
- Delegates work within team and gives team technical guidance assuring design is technically sound and cost efficient.
- Partially responsible for team morale, team efficiency, and monitoring performance of team members.
- Coordinates with team members, staff, municipalities, consultants and clients.
- Provides highly technical design and quality control.
- Processes plans and resolves issues with plan reviewers.
- Evaluates and anticipates design risks and opportunities.
- Assists with project and team management.
- Mentors other design staff in areas of technical expertise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering or related field preferred.
- 4 years' experience in land development or site development engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.), AZ P.E. preferred or ability to obtain AZ within 6 months.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD is required, Civil 3D is preferred.
- Computer design skills including spreadsheets and scheduling.
- Capable of preparing design on most projects.
- Possess understanding of civil engineering principles and construction plans.
