Design Manager manages a team of CAE specialists that support the design engineering and development of products, components, or structures. Collaborates with engineering teams to provide CAE design, analysis, and modeling support. Being a Design Manager utilizes CAE tools to facilitate benchmarking, concept design, prototype development, simulation, and testing protocols. Evaluates project results to design, develop, and implement guidelines and procedures to achieve engineering efficiencies. Additionally, Design Manager requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a director. The Design Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager.
