Evaluates project results to design, develop, and implement guidelines and procedures to achieve engineering efficiencies. Additionally, Design Manager requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a director. The Design Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Design Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Job Description Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Microbiology, the Manager, Sanitation Technology and Hygienic Design provides leadership and technical expertise for sanitary and hygienic design throughout Lamb Weston. This position has responsibility for the evaluation and validation of hygienic aspects of equipment and process lines, hygienic design of production building, process equipment and process lines, drafting hygienic and sanitary design guidelines and working closely with engineering during all projects, from feasibility to commissioning. The individual will be required to work closely with operations, innovation, microbiology engineering, and quality teams.
