Design Manager manages a team of CAE specialists that support the design engineering and development of products, components, or structures. Collaborates with engineering teams to provide CAE design, analysis, and modeling support. Being a Design Manager utilizes CAE tools to facilitate benchmarking, concept design, prototype development, simulation, and testing protocols. Evaluates project results to design, develop, and implement guidelines and procedures to achieve engineering efficiencies. Additionally, Design Manager requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a director. The Design Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Design Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Thorpe Design, Inc. is looking to hire qualified fire sprinkler fitters or apprentices for tract (Single Family 13D) residential homes. We are looking to hire experienced skilled labor only with plumbing or construction experience. Thorpe Design, Inc. is a C-16 licensed Fire Sprinkler Contractor in the state of California since 1986. We have well established work with many home builders throughout Northern California.
All work is full time Monday - Friday (7 am - 4 pm) with a minimum of 40 hours a week of work with optional over time being available. Upon being hired, you must complete a one on one interview and pass a drug test at our home office located in Brentwood, 94513. This position will be located within your county not our home office area.
