Thorpe Design, Inc. is looking to hire a qualified Fire Sprinkler Designer who is well versed in NFPA 13D.

This individual will be responsible for designing and coordinating their design with other trades. He or she must be apt in utilizing AutoCAD/SprinkCAD software or similar.

Job Responsibilities

• Thorough use of analytical thinking and problem solving, determine construction feasibility and systems possibilities
• Create detailed drawings through extensive use of AutoCAD, SprinkCAD programs
• Create material listings for projects as designed
• Perform hydraulic calculations based on design parameters
• Develop positive and ongoing relationships with customers to ensure company is meeting customers expectations
• Identify changes in projects that impact cost, schedule, or labor requirements
• Make Department Manager aware of any changes that affect the intended design of the sprinkler system
• Ensure work complies with all code and Authority Having Jurisdiction requirement

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
