Position Overview:

As a CAD Designer, you will be an integral part of the engineering team, contributing to the completion of project submittals, operation and maintenance manuals (O&M's), and the design of new equipment. Your primary responsibility will involve utilizing AutoCAD to convert customer Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) into switchgear elevations and control wiring schemes. This role offers a dynamic environment where you will engage in diverse projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Convert customer Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) into switchgear elevations and control wiring schemes using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of project submittals.
• Assist in the development of operation and maintenance manuals (O&M's) for electrical distribution and control equipment.
• Contribute to the design process for new equipment, incorporating client specifications and industry standards.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation for reference and future revisions.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive hourly pay ranging from $22.50 to $27.50 per hour.
• Performance-based bonus of $5,000 to $10,000, with opportunities for additional incentives.
• Overtime pay available after the first 90 days of employment.

Schedule:

• Full-time position with an 8-hour shift.
• Working hours from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, with a one-hour lunch break and two 10-minute breaks.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD software, with demonstrated experience in electrical design.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
• Prior experience in electrical engineering or related field preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Design, or relevant field is advantageous but not required.
