Job Description: Solar Designer
The Solar Designer is primarily responsible for conducting site assessments on potential projects, inventorying and recording the design variables of the site, adapting the overall solar system design to those variables, and producing AutoCAD drawings in support of our sales and design processes. This requires both in-office and field work, as this position visits prospective clients’ properties to assess both rooftop and ground locations for solar array placement, as well as to take measurements, photographs, and other recordings of site-specific information. Then this individual returns to the office to adapt the system design and create the AutoCAD drawing of the site.

Essential Functions
- Project plan sets (inc. but not limited to electrical one-line diagram, electrical notes, mechanical specs, site plan, placard specs, cut sheets, and shop drawings as needed)
- Site Plans and Electrical Drawings for project interconnection applications
- Site Plans and Electrical Drawings for feasibility studies
- As-built documentation (array layout, string maps, etc.)
- Create, manage, and update design drawing templates
