The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District (CUPHD) seeks a part-time Public Health Nurse I for the Teen and Adult Services division. The selected candidate will be responsible for evaluating and coordinating health services for individuals representing diverse socioeconomic status, sexual minorities, and persons of all ages. Services provided by the Public Health Nurse include STI/HIV testing and management, Family Planning, Hepatitis, and vaccine distribution.
An Associate’s Degree or diploma from an accredited school of nursing, a current and unrestricted RN license in the State of Illinois and a current IL driver’s license is required.
Compensation for this position is $27.98 per hour for a 21 to 24-hour, 3-day work week. Benefits include a comprehensive pension plan offered through Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF), paid time off and sick leave on a prorated basis, and fourteen (14) paid holidays per year (prorated). Health benefits do not apply. After a successful training period, promotion to a Public Health Nurse II may be awarded.
