Milwaukee Public Museum is looking for a Public Safety/Security Officer I to work full time, 40 hours a week, schedules are available 4 weeks in advance. In this role you will primarily be on 1st (8a-4p), and we estimate that about 12%, or 3-5 days of the month, will be spent covering either 2nd shift (4p-12a) or 3rd shift (12a-8a). The Museum requires the Security Department to be manned on a 24 hour, 365 days per year basis.
In this role you will:
Safeguard museum collections and ensure the well-being of museum employees and visitors
Use all 5 senses to make observations of irregularities and document them in written reports
Patrol, on foot, the over 400,000 square foot building
Monitor 200 cameras in the dispatch office and serve as a resource for multiple departments via radio communication

Qualifications that are preferred, but not required:
1 year previous security experience
Prior DAAT training or similar de-escalation and self-defense training
CPR, AED, and/or First Aid certification
Prior experience with Access Control systems, MPM uses C-Cure
