Development Associate - Museum coordinates fundraising, membership campaigns, annual fund, and sponsorship initiatives and events. Conducts grant research and writes proposals. Being a Development Associate - Museum administers correspondence with individual donors, maintains donor databases, and provides statistical reports on developmental activities. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Development Associate - Museum typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Development Associate - Museum gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Do you believe in the power of play?  Imagine Children’s Museum is growing and we are looking for a talented Playful Learning Facilitator to join our team. Our mission is to utilize playful learning to enrich children’s lives. We provide essential playful learning opportunities to children aged 1-12 and their families or caregivers, through interactive exhibits and unduplicated programs in the museum and outreach programs. This is your opportunity to join a group of dedicated professionals who are changing lives in Snohomish County and beyond!


    This is a part-time position, onsite in Everett. The starting pay rate is $16.25 an hour.   All part-time employees receive accrued sick time, anniversary appreciation day and other museum perks!  


    Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

    • Provide outstanding customer service to Museum visitors
    • Orient guests to the Museum, answer questions, process payments for admissions, memberships and Museum Store
    • Actively promote Museum memberships and provide membership information
    • Provide up-to-date information on Museum programs, events, activities
    • Interact and engage visitors
    • Prepare exhibits for opening and closing
    • Maintain clean and safe exhibits and visitor areas
    • Participate in special events and required staff meetings
    • Be available for evening and weekend work
    • Maintain neat and professional appearance in accordance with Employee Handbook
    • Assist with after-hour events as assigned
    • Other duties as assigned

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years customer service experience, preferred.
    • Experience working in a retail setting. 
    • Computer skills using Word and Excel desired

    • Occasionally exposed to outdoor elements including high and low temperatures, precipitation, and wind.
    • Regularly exposed to moderate noise in and around exhibits.
