Position Summary
The Business Development Associate is responsible for identifying business opportunities and business lead generation in the transportation and trucking industry primarily through office-based approaches using the phone and social media such as
LinkedIn. The Business Development Associate promotes Engaged Financials factoring services and builds relationships with current and potential clients. This position is responsible for growing their book of business and promoting Engaged Financial’s suite of services. Bilingual candidates are preferred but not required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
· Business lead generation and identify customers through networking, research, social media, cold calls etc.
· Call carriers daily and develop ongoing relationships
· Continue post sale relationship development
· Negotiate with potential clients to ensure rates are competitive and profitable
· Responsible for hitting monthly, quarterly and annual goals
· Build referral sources throughout the transportation industry
· Partner with the Financial Account Coordinator during onboarding of the client and throughout the relationship
· Source and develop new business opportunities
· Build and maintain new and current customer relationships
· Effectively present and explain financial products and their intended value to prospective clients
· Manage and maintain a robust pipeline to achieve monthly sales goals
· Negotiate spreads and maximize profitability on all new business
· Cross-sell multiple solutions to maximize yield, consistent with strategies set by senior management
· Continually refine processes to stay in front of customers in relevant industries
· Other duties as assigned
