Development Associate - Museum jobs in Miami, FL

Miami Childrens Museum is looking for a new Museum Ticket Sales Associate to join their team!

Their purpose is to answer the museum’s telephone switchboard promptly and professionally. Provide customers with accurate information about all of our museum programs. Lend administrative support other departments in the executive offices. This job is perfect for someone who loves being the first point of contact with clients, customers, and new employees. The ideal candidate should have a background in personnel management and a strong appreciation of aesthetics and first impressions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Screen telephone calls and route them to the appropriate department(s)
• Be knowledgeable about all revenue-based opportunities at MCM and “sell” the opportunity when needed
• POS and CMS systems
• Assist the Associate Director of Sales in the scheduling of the museum’s camps, group tours, and birthday parties
• Assist the Marketing and Sales Department in performing related research assignments.
• Receive all mail/packages and distribute to appropriate departments in a timely manner
• Coordinate all courier pick-ups
• Maintain the organization of the copy room and break room
• Assist with the ordering of office supplies and preparing invoices
• Other tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Extremely dependable and friendly person that can always be counted on
• Graduate from an accredited high school or G.E.D.
• 2 years of phone experience
• 1 year of sales experience
• Customer service and communication skills
• Highly organized individual
• Computer literate
• Bilingual

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Sales: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)
