Development Coordinator identifies potential donors and evaluates their interests and capacity to give to the organization. Conducts research and prospecting to locate individuals aligning with the organization's values and mission. Being a Development Coordinator analyzes data for trends and creates donor profiles to assist with donor development, stewardship, and direct communications and fundraising strategy. Uses a database or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to maintain research data and donor records, execute mailing or e-mail campaigns, and create reports. Additionally, Development Coordinator maintains confidentiality and complies with data privacy regulations and policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Development Coordinator work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     This position has full responsibility for the management of the co-op buildings.  Management includes the daily operation of co-op activities and responsibility for handling building emergencies. 

     

    Duties, Responsibilities and Authorities

    • Overall supervision of site employees.
    • Responsible for staff training and evaluation.
    • Serve as a resource person/facilitator for the members in their property management activities.
    • Promote and foster volunteerism through our unique cooperative system.
    • Promote and reinforce the educational programs sponsored by the Education Department.
    • Market in accordance with HUD, MassHousing and other governmental agencies guidelines.  Maintain occupancy.
    • Direct all internal and external disaster and emergency operations.
    • Responsible for the accounts receivable, payable process, procurement and other documentation required by CSI, HUD and MassHousing.
    • Maintain records of the co-op business transactions.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position are:

    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or 5 years property management
    • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
    • Must be able to push/pull/lift 30lbs.
    • Bi-Lingual:  Spanish Speaking or Mandarin is a plus.
    • Patience, strong minded, organized, and focused
    • Knowledge of construction or facilities systems
    • Ability to work well with many personalities.
    • Strong leadership and effective communication skills.

     

    Schedule and Location of Position:

     

    This is an in-person position at our Charlestown, MA location. Core business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am -5:00pm. Some travel will occasionally be required (Malden, MA office, co-ops, conferences).

     

    This is an exempt position.
