Development Coordinator identifies potential donors and evaluates their interests and capacity to give to the organization. Conducts research and prospecting to locate individuals aligning with the organization's values and mission. Being a Development Coordinator analyzes data for trends and creates donor profiles to assist with donor development, stewardship, and direct communications and fundraising strategy. Uses a database or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to maintain research data and donor records, execute mailing or e-mail campaigns, and create reports. Additionally, Development Coordinator maintains confidentiality and complies with data privacy regulations and policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Development Coordinator is responsible for working with the Executive Director, Foundation Coordinator and Board of Directors to plan and organize fundraising events, coordinate volunteers and donors, solicit sponsorships and maintain responsibility for all grant writing activities.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum five years’ experience working in nonprofit organizations doing development work
Licenses/Certification: Valid driver’s license
Required Knowledge, Skills and Ability: Demonstrates excellent judgment and decision-making, possesses excellent interpersonal skills with potential donors and the general public, demonstrates creativity in planning and executing fundraising events, extensive experience with successful grant writing, possesses the ability to work independently
Compensation: $26.60 - $33.70/hr, depending on experience.
