This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, award-winning team at the forefront of the affordable and sustainable housing movement on Long Island. The Resident Services Coordinator will help support and grow CDLI’s resident services programming. CDLI’s Resident Services programs currently engage individuals through CDLI’s internal programs, at a number of CDLI’s multi-family rental developments and on-site at other affordable housing developments across Long Island.
Reporting to the Vice President of Resident Services, the Resident Services Coordinator is responsible for delivering resident services throughout Long Island. In addition to working closely with residents to support them in achieving their personal goals, the Coordinator will also build partnerships with local cross-sector service providers to ensure program participant linkages to supportive services, coordinate self-sufficiency enhancing community events and programs.
The Resident Services Coordinator is responsible for cultivating, growing and managing the Resident Services Program with one of CDLI’s affordable housing partners onsite at the Moxey Rigby Apartments in Freeport, Nassau County. Within this rental community, the Coordinator will work directly with residents; coordinate with property management and community partners to enhance effective, comprehensive service provision.
The Resident Services Coordinator will also provide administrative, programmatic, and service delivery support to CDCLI’s Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) program. FSS is a structured, long-term HUD case management program through which staff conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized service plans in partnership with participants, and link them to community-based resources to help them achieve their goals.
Additionally, on a time-limited basis, the Resident Services Coordinator will support CDCLI’s Community Building & Engagement (CB&E) initiative within two affordable rental communities in Suffolk County to develop, sponsor, support, and/or promote and facilitate resident-driven socialization & social cohesion building, mutual aid, and trauma-informed emotional self-regulation groups.
A combination of traditional and non-traditional work hours are a part of this role.
