Development Coordinator jobs in Lafayette, LA
Development Coordinator identifies potential donors and evaluates their interests and capacity to give to the organization. Conducts research and prospecting to locate individuals aligning with the organization's values and mission. Being a Development Coordinator analyzes data for trends and creates donor profiles to assist with donor development, stewardship, and direct communications and fundraising strategy. Uses a database or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to maintain research data and donor records, execute mailing or e-mail campaigns, and create reports. Additionally, Development Coordinator maintains confidentiality and complies with data privacy regulations and policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Development Coordinator work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Our Recruitment and Development Coordinator focuses on attracting, hiring, and retaining qualified candidates to join our team!
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in workforce recruitment, staffing, and development.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, writing, and presentation skills.
- Strong computer literacy including proficiency in MS Office.
- Familiarity with employment-related laws, regulations, and best practices.
- HS diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in human resources (or related field) or equivalent experience preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid LA driver’s license and good driving record.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality on-site.
Responsibilities
- Identifies & implements effective & efficient recruiting methods to meet workforce needs.
- Manages the application process by screening all applications/resumes to determine if minimum qualifications are met for interview consideration.
- Responsible for selecting and conducting initial interviews to fill vacant positions, and refer preferred applicants to hiring managers for second interviews.
- Additional duties may include assistance with developing/maintaining position descriptions, job-specific performance appraisals, staff development training, etc.
