Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Development and Finance to join our team. The Vice President of Development and Finance will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company, including budgeting, financial planning, risk analysis, and financial statement preparation as well as developing proforma's for LIHTC projects and supervising the development staff. Have the ability to read and understand complex government and investor closing documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, spreadsheets, proforma's, possess excellent leadership skills, and be able to effectively manage a team.
Duties:
- Develop and implement budgets, proformas, and financial strategies to support the development of new LIHTC projects and company's goals and objectives
- Prepare financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Conduct risk analysis and project develop strategies to mitigate financial risks
- Manage the budgeting process and monitor financial performance against targets
- Provide financial guidance and support to senior management and department heads
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements
- Lead the investment strategy for the company, ensuring optimal returns on investments
- Stay up-to-date with LIHTC industry trends and changes in governmental accounting regulations
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting & finance principles and practices
- Proficient in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Solid understanding of risk analysis and mitigation strategies
- Experience in budgeting and financial planning
- Knowledge of governmental and non-profit accounting regulations, law degree and/or CPA is a plus
- Strong spreadsheet skills, and analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
