Development Coordinator identifies potential donors and evaluates their interests and capacity to give to the organization. Conducts research and prospecting to locate individuals aligning with the organization's values and mission. Being a Development Coordinator analyzes data for trends and creates donor profiles to assist with donor development, stewardship, and direct communications and fundraising strategy. Uses a database or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to maintain research data and donor records, execute mailing or e-mail campaigns, and create reports. Additionally, Development Coordinator maintains confidentiality and complies with data privacy regulations and policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Development Coordinator work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.   • Mental Health Association Oklahoma is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Development Coordinator . Reporting directly to the Director of Development, the Development Coordinator will play a crucial role in maintaining our donor database, ensuring accurate documentation and reports for relationship cultivation, coordinating a volunteer program, and facilitating communication between the Development team and other internal departments.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintain and update the donor database, ensuring accuracy and completeness of donor information.
    • Generate reports and documentation for relationship cultivation, utilizing data from the donor database.
    • Create and coordinate a comprehensive volunteer program, including collaborating with different departments to understand their volunteer needs and requests.
    • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers, ensuring appropriate placement and recognition.
    • Serve as a liaison between the Development team and other internal teams for special requests and collaborative projects.
    • Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising events and campaigns.
    • Support the Director of Development in donor stewardship activities, including donor communications and acknowledgments.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    • Proven experience in database management and data analysis.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Comfortable working with executive leadership and internal stakeholders.
    • Creative problem-solving skills.
    • Experience working with volunteers or coordinating volunteer programs is preferred.
    • Passion for mental health advocacy and nonprofit work is a plus.


    WORK CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Work is performed in climate-controlled office setting, where exposure to conditions of extreme. heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is unlikely.
    • Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment (printers, fax machine, phones, etc.)
    • No environmental hazards are encountered in the normal performance of job duties.
    • Work requires a flexible work schedule due to internal and external meetings. Occasional travel may be required; must have reliable transportation.
    • Work involves standing and walking for brief periods of time, but most duties are performed from seated position.
    • Work may include occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying objects up to 20 pounds such as files, documents, and computer printouts.
    • Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate computer keyboard and 10-key.
    • Work utilizes hearing and speech to converse clearly with others.
