Development Director manages an organization's fundraising strategies, campaigns, capital development initiatives, and operations to support the overall organizational development and revenue objectives. Implements donor stewardship programs to identify, develop, retain, and nurture a portfolio of individual and institutional donors. Being a Development Director works to develop potential corporate or governmental partnerships and grant funding opportunities. Creates collaborative coordination between staff and internal stakeholders to plan events and communications to increase donor engagement. Additionally, Development Director uses technology to manage and monitor donor information and produce data-driven measurement and reporting of the progress of fundraising goals.   • Job Summary

    The Director of Finance & Administration is responsible for all facets of financial accounting and benefits administration for the company. This position directly oversees all accounting activities related to income, auditing, accounts payable, processing accounts receivable, tax compliance, payroll, and month end processing.


    This position requires a minimum of 30 hours per week, and is currently a hybrid (in-office and remote work combination).


    Duties consist of 100% administrative/ professional tasks that require the use of discretion and independent judgment over 75% of the time.


    Responsibilities

    • Verifies the accuracy and timeliness of all finance functions: daily and month end reporting, payroll processing, income, audit, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash and credit card management.
    • Completes month end close to include preparing journal entries and accruals, reconciling balance sheet accounts, ensuring proper tax reporting, and analyzing profit performance.
    • Provides support to staff, as needed.
    • Implements and upholds business practices that positively support the work accomplished.
    • Ensures monthly financial reporting that reflects accurate revenues, expenses, and cost of sales calculations.
    • Analyzes monthly variances between actual and budgeted performance.
    • Advises executive team on existing and upcoming financial and operational issues.
    • Analyzes finances to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Manages capital expenses and reconciles expenditures annually.
    • Ensures strong accounting and operational controls to safeguard assets and maximize profits.
    • Oversees annual audit process.
    • Directs and plans the day-to-day operations of all group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, worker's compensation, HRA, retirement plans, etc.).
    • Contributes to onboarding new employees.
    • Fosters strong professional relationships with the management team by providing direct counsel and feedback that positively impacts the performance of the business and sharpens the financial acumen of the team.
    • Supports and models the company’s core values and mission.


    Compensation Package

    The candidate will be offered a competitive annual salary, within a range of $65,000 to $80,000.

    Location

    The central office for Partnership Development Group is in Millersville, Anne Arundel County near major freeway intersections. The company also has offices in Baltimore City and Montgomery County.


    Requirements:

    • Possess a minimum of a 4-year bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting and a minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting position, or a minimum of 8 years of progressive career growth in healthcare accounting or equivalent.
    • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
    • Aptitude for performing numerical analysis of data and formulating conclusions and/or solutions.
    • Ability to use logic to define a problem, collect information, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, interpret information, and deal with abstract variables for unique or unfamiliar situations.
    • Proven leadership and strategic decision-making skills.
    • Ability to clearly and concisely present technical subjects.
    • Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to participate effectively in group meetings.
    • Ability to comprehend and use technical or professional language either written or spoken to communicate complex ideas.
    • Superior Computer skills: Microsoft Office suite and QuickBooks.
    • Thinks creatively and practically to develop, execute, and implement business strategies.
    • Utilizes effective interpersonal and communication skills to support staff.
    • Leads by example by demonstrating honesty and integrity in all business and personnel decisions.
    • Leverages strong financial and operational leadership skills to guide the executive team.
