Development Director manages an organization's fundraising strategies, campaigns, capital development initiatives, and operations to support the overall organizational development and revenue objectives. Implements donor stewardship programs to identify, develop, retain, and nurture a portfolio of individual and institutional donors. Being a Development Director works to develop potential corporate or governmental partnerships and grant funding opportunities. Creates collaborative coordination between staff and internal stakeholders to plan events and communications to increase donor engagement. Additionally, Development Director uses technology to manage and monitor donor information and produce data-driven measurement and reporting of the progress of fundraising goals. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Development Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Development Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Assistant Director

    The Community Child Development Center (CCDC) is a lively, established, and licensed childcare facility located in the heart of Missouri. CCDC is eagerly looking to fill a new role and find our new assistant director. We serve children from birth to age six and our wonderful program is open year-round.

    The Assistant Director will provide leadership in administration activities of CCDC. The assistant director with the director will empower parents to support the daily activities of CCDC and most importantly the educational growth of the children of CCDC in a family-centered program.

    Recommended Employment Qualifications:

    The Assistant Director must have an education and/or experience in Early Childhood, Child Development and working with families. The Assistant Director must be willing to attend training as needed. The minimum requirement would be a CDA and it is preferred to have an Associates or Bachelor’s Degree. Applicants must have a valid Missouri Driver’s License or be eligible to obtain a valid Missouri Driver’s License.

    Successful candidates must submit to a pre-employment drug screening, physical examination/medical history check, TB test, Family Care and Safety background check.

    Duties and Responsibilities include:

    Financial

    • Monitors expenses and reports for various programs of the center, including the Parent Education Program.
    • Maintains accurate information in Procare.
    • Monitors tuition payments and receipts.
    • Determines tuition based on USDA requirements.
    • Solicits funds or fundraising for tuition vouchers.
    • Cross trains with director on other financial tasks.
    • Tracks and monitors Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) goals and expenses.

    Staffing

    • Supervises staff members.
    • Handles employee concerns, complaints and needs.
    • Works with staff to maintain high curriculum standards and learning environment.
    • Consults with individual staff regarding child behavior and learning and classroom needs.
    • Assists in scheduling staff breaks and time off.

    Families and Children

    • Enrolls and orients new families.
    • Maintains enrollment and waiting lists.
    • Ensures families complete necessary enrollment forms, health forms, agreement forms and USDA documentation.
    • Provides information and support to families, including referrals.
    • Keeps staff apprised of Parent Education programs and activities.
    • Encourages staff participation.
    • Manages and implements E-DECA.

    Parent Education and Programs

    • Markets parent education through social media, newsletter and Procare.
    • Conducts home visits with qualifying families.
    • Conducts parent education session focusing on the application of parent education skills.
    • Maintains attendance of parent education classes.
    • Facilitates Parent and Child Together Time (PACT) once a month per family.
    • Provides referrals to the director for families in need.
    • Implements educational activaties based on curriculum and family needs.
    • Coordinates with public schools Parent as Teacher Program.
    • Collaborates with other agencies to enhance services for families.
    • Meets and works with Family Council.

    Community

    • Keeps the community abreast of program activities through tours, newspaper articles, social media, etc.
    • Updates information on website.
    • Completes and distributes year-end report.
    • Serves as liaison between the program and the community.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of community resources.
    • Presents a positive image to the community.

    Other responsibilities as required by the position and the CCDC Board of Directors.
