Development Manager supervises operations to execute an organization's fundraising strategies, campaigns, and capital development initiatives supporting short- and long-term organizational revenue objectives. Implements and supports donor stewardship programs to identify, develop, retain, and nurture a portfolio of individual and institutional donors. Being a Development Manager collaborates with corporate or governmental partnerships. Coordinates staff and stakeholders in event planning and communication to increase donor engagement. Additionally, Development Manager manages a donor database and tools to produce data-driven measurement and reporting of the progress of fundraising goals. May oversee or participate in the grant writing and proposal process. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Development Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions.     Role Requirements:
    • BSc Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
    • Experience in Agile/SCRUM enterprise-scale software development
    • Strong knowledge of OOP principles
    • Familiar with HTTP protocol and RESTful APIs
    • Knowledge of responsive web development experience
    • Experience writing and optimizing native JavaScript (ECMAScript6 )
    • Practical experience with TDD, and modern testing methodology
    • At least 7 years of commercial software development experience
    • At least 3 years managing a development team
    • Experience with one or more UI frameworks: React, Angular, Vue
    • Working understanding of relational database and No-SQL database concepts
    • Experience building scalable web applications built around the micro-services architecture
    • Exceptional writing and communication skills
    • Experience leading a team of developers
    • Building effective working relationships with the technical leadership team and organization
    Preferred Skills:
    • Java Servlets, and J2EE frameworks such as Spring MVC, Struts 1.x/2.x.
    • Node.JS / Express.JS middleware and micro-services
    • Docker containerization, Kubernetes
    • Apache, Nginx, Tomcat 8.x
    • 2 years database experience with Oracle 11g and PL/SQL
    • 2 years NoSQL experience with one of Couchbase, Hbase, InfluxDB, Mongo
    • Testing frameworks including Selenium, JUnit, Mocha, Jest, Karma/Protractor
    • Cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, Azure
    • Eclipse IDE, IntelliJ, WebStorm
    • GIT, or similar distributed source control with Mercurial, Subversion, etc.
    • Familiarity with Linux/Unix and scripting
    • Implementation of a TICK / TIG stack in a production environment
    • JSON, XML/XSD, SOAP

    Work Environment:
    This job is currently offering Remote and Hybrid work settings.

    Physical Demands:
    Requires sitting or standing at a computer desk for extended periods of time.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
