Development Manager supervises operations to execute an organization's fundraising strategies, campaigns, and capital development initiatives supporting short- and long-term organizational revenue objectives. Implements and supports donor stewardship programs to identify, develop, retain, and nurture a portfolio of individual and institutional donors. Being a Development Manager collaborates with corporate or governmental partnerships. Coordinates staff and stakeholders in event planning and communication to increase donor engagement. Additionally, Development Manager manages a donor database and tools to produce data-driven measurement and reporting of the progress of fundraising goals. May oversee or participate in the grant writing and proposal process. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Development Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. The Senior Manager Leadership Development will use in-depth sales/management training curriculums and certifications related to field experience to manage the design, development, facilitation, and measurement of sales training programs for the Leadership Development Commercial Training Team and supporting HR Leadership Development programs. This position will work closely with brand leadership, sales leadership, human resources and lead business unit trainers to identify, create, and deliver training programs that are aligned with corporate objectives and tactics. This position will provide live, virtual and on going training programs, as well as conduct needs assessments on an on-going basis. This position will inform, develop, and execute leadership training curriculum, further embedding the core capabilities for Ferring globally and locally. This position will also focus on large projects such as gap analysis, data and analytic reporting, vendor management and continuous development through certifications. Responsibilities: Manage the design and facilitation of Ferring core curriculum programs existing and creation of new programming annually for leadership development (emerging leaders, existing leaders and tenured leaders) in collaboration with Human Resources. Create and project manage curriculum that includes: gap/opportunity identification, content creation and development, instructional design, vendor management, budget management, and communication to key stakeholders with data analytics and insights for current, tenured and existing leadership withing the commercial organization. Work with Director, Commercial Training and Manager Instructional Design to build appropriate long-range e-learning coursework and curriculum and that will support ongoing business objectives for commercial training functions that impact core business unit of responsibility. Certification in core curriculum such as Situational Leadership, 5 Conversations, Strength finders and other programs to be up to date annually required for this position. Evaluate training content by incorporating measures and metrics into program designs and propose recommendations and solutions based on outcomes interpreting the data and analytics dashboards In collaboration with Sales Leadership and HR, conduct needs assessment annually and recommend training curriculum for Phase programming of leaders at Ferring Provide development opportunities in annual programming for current sales leaders and emerging talent. In collaboration with Sales Leadership, conduct field rides with identified representatives to further develop leadership skills and enhance feedback to representatives Requirements: Bachelor’s degree is required. 5 years of experience within the Pharmaceutical Industry is preferred. 2 Years Leadership experience Sales training or field sales training experience preferred. Certifications of Five Conversations, Situational Leadership, Strength finders preferred. Previous sales success and/or training experience strongly preferred. Project Management skills required. Experience with Learning Management Systems preferred. Experience with data and analytic dashboards preferred. Excellent Microsoft Office Skills (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel) are required. Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, motivation and leadership skills. Effectively operate in an evolving complex and dynamic environment. Physical Requirements: This role will be responsible for field-based co-travels and continuous training for leadership roles. This role will require field-based travel up to 30% and will also be based at the Parsippany, NJ home office. Our Compensation and Benefits At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $103,550 to $188,500, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and primary work location. Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance. Benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with a premium differential, inverse to base salary, to be paid by employees, a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, wellness benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full time employees to accrue up to 120 hours in the first four (4) years of employment, and 160 hours in the fifth (5th) year of employment as well as 12 to 13 paid holidays per year.
