Development Manager supervises operations to execute an organization's fundraising strategies, campaigns, and capital development initiatives supporting short- and long-term organizational revenue objectives. Implements and supports donor stewardship programs to identify, develop, retain, and nurture a portfolio of individual and institutional donors. Being a Development Manager collaborates with corporate or governmental partnerships. Coordinates staff and stakeholders in event planning and communication to increase donor engagement. Additionally, Development Manager manages a donor database and tools to produce data-driven measurement and reporting of the progress of fundraising goals.   • JOB SUMMARY:

    Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to develop department goals and objectives, and coordinate the activities of the Player Development Department to ensure that all goals and objectives are reached or surpassed. Assist Director of Marketing in creating a culture of data driven results and incremental revenue via the planning, practice and successful execution of excellence in customer care, creative messaging, memorable experiences and customer valued offers.     JOB DUTIES:

    1. Develop and motivate employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews.

    2. Leverage all available player tracking technology to drive incremental play and revenue.

    3. Review and interpret reports regarding membership rewards, and utilize data to promote successful player development and retention programs.

    4. Direct the timely preparation of all weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual player development promotions and events with quantifiable and measurable results.

    5. Initiate player recruitment programs/promotions/events to encourage usage of the player’s club card.

    6. Direct staff in recruiting potential new players and retention of current customers.

    7. Work closely with other departments in the coordinating, planning and execution of monthly, quarterly or yearly player development programs.

    8. Interview, hire and train Casino Host personnel to ensure adequate/efficient staffing.

    9. Oversee the scheduling and payroll for all direct reports

    10. Establish and assure all player development benchmarks are being achieved. (This includes, but is not limited to acquisition and coding of player to host, recovery of declining and inactive players, identifying and hosting to High Value Players, comping to High Value Players, and telemarketing or communicating with High Value Players to incentivize incremental visitation to the casino.)

    11. Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.

    12. Comply with all department policies and all respective regulatory procedures.

    13. Must possess excellent organization and communication skills.

    14. Ability to produce a quality product on a consistent basis.

    15. Ensure confidentiality throughout the department.

    16. Must agree to maintain Drug-Free Workplace as a condition of employment.

    17. Makes sure the tracking system is operational at all times, with the assistance of M.I.S.

    18. Prepare annual budget for all areas under immediate supervision.

    19. Update S.O.P.’s, and Job Descriptions as needed.

    20. Ensure all “Players Club Guest Situation Forms”, are followed as per S.O.P.s, and Players Club Guest Complaint Forms” are taken care of immediately.

    21. Must attend all meetings and/or training as required.

    22. Create and achieve business plans for the department on a yearly basis.

    23. Read, understand and adhere to the Winnebago Gaming Compact and Winnebago Tribal Gaming Code, Rules and Regulations

    24. Perform all other job related duties as assigned.

    CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT

    1. Must be able to withstand a smoky environment for extended periods of time, with direct exposure to secondhand smoke.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in business, sales, marketing field preferred.

    2. Five years or more experience of progressive Player Development.

    3. One to three years as a supervisor or equivalent or higher.

    4. Must possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

    5. Able to work all shifts, holidays and weekends as needed.

    6. Computer skills, intermediate skills in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Office Suite Software, data entry email, POS, and enterprise specific programs.

    7. Ability to make decisions, recognizing established precedent and practice, and to use judgement and tact in meeting new situations

    8. Ability to establish, and maintain effective relationships with other employees, managers, and the general public.

    9. Must possess excellent customer service skills, strong professional etiquette and be a self-starter with the ability to multitask, follow-up and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision.

    10. Strong working knowledge of analytical tools and spreadsheets.

    · Winnebago Gaming Commission

    · U.S. Treasury Bank Secrecy Act & U.S. Patriot Act of 2001 (With regards to Title 31 and Suspicious Activity Reports pertaining to Casino activity)

    · Winnebago Indian Community-Tribal Gaming Ordinance
