Development Manager supervises operations to execute an organization's fundraising strategies, campaigns, and capital development initiatives supporting short- and long-term organizational revenue objectives. Implements and supports donor stewardship programs to identify, develop, retain, and nurture a portfolio of individual and institutional donors. Being a Development Manager collaborates with corporate or governmental partnerships. Coordinates staff and stakeholders in event planning and communication to increase donor engagement. Additionally, Development Manager manages a donor database and tools to produce data-driven measurement and reporting of the progress of fundraising goals. Comfort Food Community (CFC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports individuals and communities by providing access to fresh, wholesome food in Washington, Warren, and Saratoga counties.
The Development Manager position is a mission-driven, movement-building position dedicated to engaging individuals and businesses in the goals of CFC work to ensure funding for continued growth. The Development Manager will join an innovative team and contribute to ambitious fundraising efforts.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000
Position Description: Working in partnership with the Executive Director, appropriate staff members, the Board of Directors, and the Fundraising Committee, the development manager is responsible for developing and executing annual fundraising plans to support the mission, programs, and operations of Comfort Food Community. By building relationships with individuals, businesses and corporations, foundations, and community groups, the DM will provide sustainable financial support for the work of CFC. The DM oversees database management and the development and execution of the CFC fundraising process. Working with the Staff and the Board, the DM will plan, organize, manage, and evaluate fundraising activities focusing on new opportunities and major donors. The DM will support and facilitate the development of corporate and individual donor relationships and community outreach for the board and staff members.
