Diabetes Educator educates patients on the necessary lifestyle changes involved in a diabetes diagnosis, including nutrition, medication, physical activity and glucose testing. Collects patient data to monitor health status and proactively manage the patient's condition. Being a Diabetes Educator facilitates skill development and behavior modification so that the patient is able to successfully manage the disease. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent. Additionally, Diabetes Educator typically required to be a Certified Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Diabetes Educator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. The Medical Collections Specialist is accountable for performing all Collections efforts for our Accounts Receivable. The primary goal for this position is to ensure that all Collections functions are performed timely, accurately and in adherence to NE Fl Endocrine and Diabetes policies.
