Purpose

Quilt & Co. Tasting Room is looking to hire an enthusiastic, inviting, and outgoing personality for our open position as a Wine Educator. This position is responsible for providing the best possible experience to all of our Tasting Room guests by developing relationships that promote sales and brand loyalty. This position is the champion of customer service in creating the perfect balance of education and good times.

External: Customers, Vendors

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

• Hosting guests at the Quilt & Co. Tasting Room in Downtown Napa
• Help with setup, breakdown, and cleaning of the room and outdoor tasting areas
• Able to serve alcohol and be able to learn the unique winemaking practices of Joseph Wagner
• Responsible for helping customers choose tastings, purchase wine, and sell wine club memberships
• Maintain table settings by removing glasses, and plates, being alert to customer spills or other special needs, as well as resetting tables for the next party
• Adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
• Handle routine sales transactions which include operating cash register and accounting of daily sales
• Restocking of wine and merchandise, maintaining the aesthetics of the Tasting Room and Lounge
• Deal with complaints or issues with a positive attitude
• Provide general tourist information
• Perform other duties as assigned
• TIPS Certification, RBS certified, Food Handler card needed
• Experience with Commerce7, Tock and Winedirect
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

· High School Diploma

· Must be able to lift 40lbs

· Must be able to stand for long periods of time, and work on a computer for extended periods

· Must be able to work both inside and outside in varied weather conditions

· Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed

· Must have a valid driver’s license

· Must be at least 21 years of age

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
