We're looking for someone who is excited and passionate to help grow the fitness and wellness program in a beautiful residential community with the opportunity to increase their hours and expand the current position. Personal training is additionally compensated outside of the 6 hours/week of program coordination and 6 hours a week of group fitness instruction. This position has SO MUCH potential!

JOB SUMMARY

Interacts with senior/active aging members and program participants to deliver safe, effective, and enjoyable equipment orientations, group fitness classes & one-on-one consultations in accordance with the objectives and policies set forth by Elevation Health. Provides excellent leadership, up-to-date quality instruction, and high energy motivation to members and participants in order to maximize participation, outcomes, and customer satisfaction.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Fitness and Wellness Program Coordinator for an active aging residential community (10 hours per week)

• Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with residents, be the face of the fitness center by delivering excellent customer service

• Coordinate the group fitness program and supervises instructors, including creating monthly class schedules and class descriptions, sub/cover group fitness classes as needed

• Teach group fitness classes (1 hour per week included in hours); other group fitness classes taught will be additionally compensated

• Coordinate the personal training program and supervises personal trainers

• Lead personal trainer for the fitness and wellness program; all sessions completed are compensated with additional commissions

• Provide group equipment orientations (6 hours per week included in hours); other group fitness classes taught will be additionally compensated

• Provide individual fitness assessments, consult with members on their fitness baseline and follow up as needed

• Monitor residents in fitness center and provide assistance on technique and workouts as needed

• Payroll for instructors/trainers

• Monthly reporting/statistics on participation and utilization of the fitness and wellness program

• Manage technology platform for event registration

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate and follow all rules, regulations and security emergency protocol provided by client

• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• CPR/AED Certification - required

• Nationally recognized personal training certification - required

• Group fitness experience for the senior demographic - required

• COVID Vaccinated and Boosted - required

• Virtual teaching experience (Zoom) - preferred

• Group fitness certification - preferred

• ACE Senior Specialist certification - plus

• Other specialty certifications - a plus

• Ability to create and modify exercise programs to meet the needs of the residents

• Must be professional, motivational, and show excellent customer service
