Position: Patient Registration Coordinator (PRC)

Job Summary

The Patient Registration Coordinator (PRC) is responsible for registering patients, verifying insurance coverage, and collecting payments for services rendered. The PRC will also be responsible for maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed.

Key Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance coverage
• Collect payments for services rendered
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed
• Answer patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care
• Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing codes

Physical Demands

The PRC may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and may need to lift up to 25 pounds.

Working Conditions

The PRC will work in a healthcare setting and may be exposed to infectious diseases and hazardous materials.
