Rebecca School, a DIRFloortime school, is seeking a Related Service Coordinator for its new location in Mount Vernon, NY. Rebecca School North will serve students 3 to 21 years old with neurodevelopmental delays in relating and communicating beginning in the 2024 school year, offering a safe, nurturing environment for students and families. Related Service Coordinator will directly supervise the occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech language pathology department heads. In addition this position will collaborate with the related service departments and the Education department to support the growth and vision of a DIRFloortime School. Rebecca School North is an expansion of the Rebecca School in NYC after 18 successful years of serving students with neurodevelopment delays in relating and communicating.
This is a new position starting August 2024 and a salary range of $85,000 to $95,000 based on skills, qualifications and experience.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
· Provide individual and group supervision to related service providers
· Participate in initial intake evaluations and assessments to determine a student's level of function
· Provide written reports identifying the student's needs and proposed treatment strategies, goals and objectives; maintain progress records
· Collaborate with staff in the development, analysis and preparation of reports, and in-service assignments
· Provide team members with education for facilitation of implemented techniques or modalities
· Monitor therapy and educational staff trained to incorporate appropriate related service treatment strategies into instruction; evaluate effectiveness of the established program and make modifications within the clinical framework of the DIR model
· Train other staff on pertinent therapeutic activities and techniques to support students as needed
· Collaborate with education department
· Participate in weekly Greenspan meetings, team meetings and staff trainings
