Job Location: This position will be located at 920 Wildwood Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109

This position serves as a Nurse Program Coordinator for the Time Critical Diagnosis (TCD) Unit within the Section for Health Standards and Licensure, a component of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Responsibilities include support of the Section’s regulatory duties related to the TCD Program, which includes the designation of Stroke, ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI), and Trauma Centers throughout the state. The position provides regulatory guidance to hospital staff in all aspects of their TCD related program responsibilities.

• Coordinate and perform Trauma, Stroke, and STEMI Designation Surveys
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders
• Review and prepare Contracted Reviewer Reports
• Perform non-adversarial enforcement of regulations
• Some state-wide travel with overnight stays and possible overtime
• Other duties as assigned.

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri or in accordance with Missouri’s Nurse Licensure Compact at the time of appointment.
• Five (5) years of experience working in a critical care healthcare field
• Working knowledge/experience in a healthcare regulatory field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Effective leadership that promotes customer service
• Ability to work independently
• Demonstrate and utilize critical thinking skills
• Be innovative and show a great deal of initiative when interacting collaboratively with leadership, staff, and industry and stakeholder groups
• Knowledge of computer and virtual conferencing platforms
