Diagnostic Imaging Manager plans and implements the overall diagnostic imaging policies, procedures, and services for several departments which may include nuclear medicine, MRI, radiology, computer-assisted tomography and ultrasound. Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations. Being a Diagnostic Imaging Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Requires a certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Additionally, Diagnostic Imaging Manager typically reports to a director. The Diagnostic Imaging Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Description of Duties
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
Licenses/Certifications
Must hold a current registry from one of the following organizations: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) preferred.
Required Experience
Five (5) years of clinical imaging experience. Three (3) years of imaging leadership experience.
