Diagnostic Imaging Manager jobs in Gastonia, NC
Diagnostic Imaging Manager plans and implements the overall diagnostic imaging policies, procedures, and services for several departments which may include nuclear medicine, MRI, radiology, computer-assisted tomography and ultrasound. Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations. Being a Diagnostic Imaging Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Requires a certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Additionally, Diagnostic Imaging Manager typically reports to a director. The Diagnostic Imaging Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Diagnostic Imaging Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Opportunity Highlights:
- 70% Breast Imaging, 30% Non-subspecialty Diagnostic Radiology
- Diagnostic Radiology certification/board preparation required
- Position is combination of Breast Imaging and non-subspecialty Diagnostic Radiology
- Training concentrated in Breast Imaging; fellowship training not required
- One of the only imaging centers in the area to adopt 3D Mammography
- Night Radiology past 9p is covered with final reads
- Stable, collegial group of Radiologists, primarily fellowship-trained, with an equally divided workload
- Excellent work/life balance without the tedious issues of managing a private practice and its economics
- Backup Call Only 1:6, Call Week Hours are 1p-9p/Weekend hours 7a-7p
