Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations. Being a Diagnostic Imaging Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Requires a certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Additionally, Diagnostic Imaging Manager typically reports to a director. The Diagnostic Imaging Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Job Summary
Performs a variety of technical exams in the area of Radiology under the supervision of
A Radiologist. Operates x-ray equipment, prepares exam room, equipment, supplies and medications. Provides patient services using established positioning and technical factors. Maintains supplies and coordinates patient flow within the Radiology areas.
Job Specifications/Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a formal Radiologic Technology course in an AMA approved school. Must be a registered Radiologic Technologist and/or registry eligible.
Must be able to operate radiographic equipment in a safe and proper manner.
Registry eligible technologists will work under the direct supervision of a registered Radiologic Technologist until the national registry is passed.
Must be BLS certified.
