Perform diagnostic x-ray, including CT and/or mammography procedures, in accordance with physicians orders and established hospital procedure. Prepare procedures for interpretation by obtaining correct patient histories, preparing the patient chart, and processing the radiographs/images.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
The work requires regular and recurring physical exertion such as standing or walking for prolonged periods of time; frequent pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, reaching, stooping and stretching is necessary to assist in the movement and repositioning of patients & equipment. The employee must exert 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects and must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 40 pounds. Requires frequent repetitive hand/wrist motions and finger manipulation. Requires normal/corrected vision and hearing to normal range. The work involves recurring exposure to moderate risks and discomforts which require special safety and health precautions, risks such as exposure to contagious diseases, odors, and radiation.
