Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor supervises and coordinates the activities of staff in a diagnostic imaging department such as nuclear medicine, MRI, radiology, computer-assisted tomography or ultrasound. Monitors the adherence to all diagnostic imaging policies, procedures, and services. Being a Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree, certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Core Diagnostic Laboratories is looking to hire an experienced and motivated Phlebotomist/Specimen Collector to be a part of our growing laboratory team located in Cullman, Al area, . MUST HAVE PHLEBOTOMY EXPERIENCE. Pediatric experience is a MUST. The ideal candidate will have experience drawing blood, ordering and processing blood, urine, and stool specimens and must be comfortable handling biohazardous materials with provided PPE. This position will be responsible for the collection of all specimens and preparation for shipping to Laboratory.
Must have reliable transportation.
Responsibilities:
· Collect Blood specimens.
· Accurately order all tests listed on the patient requisition form
· Appropriately process samples according to the testing criteria
· Prepare samples for shipment to laboratory
· Follow HIPPA regulations and Universal Precautions
· Evaluate sample integrity (clots, hemolysis, etc.)
· Communicate issues to management in a timely manner
Skills:
· Phlebotomy- difficult sticks. Must be able to work with children.
· Attention to detail
· Sample processing experience
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Efficient in computer operations
· Previous lab experience is preferred
