Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor supervises and coordinates the activities of staff in a diagnostic imaging department such as nuclear medicine, MRI, radiology, computer-assisted tomography or ultrasound. Monitors the adherence to all diagnostic imaging policies, procedures, and services. Being a Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree, certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. MOBILE PHLBOTOMIST ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Collects blood using proper protocol and technique.
2. Receives pre-collected specimens from client.
3. Prepares specimen for transport to laboratory.
4. Transports specimen to laboratory.
5. Properly documents all tasks according to protocol.
6. Drives company vehicle in a safe and prudent manner.
The Mobile Phlebotomist frequently works with elderly or compromised patients. The individual who is successful in this role will demonstrate the consistent ability to provide respectful, compassionate care understanding that these patients may respond emotionally to the need to conduct blood draws or may present the need for more advance blood draw technique due to their physical condition.
The work environment includes driving a company vehicle various distances in all types of weather and traffic conditions. The successful Mobile Phlebotomist must be able to function consistently under stress and be highly safety conscious.
MOBILE PHLEBOTOMIST QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Certification of completion of an accredited Phlebotomy program.
2. High School Diploma or GED and graduate of an accredited technical school.
3. Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record.
